Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Programming: Write and edit inspection programs for CMMs using specific software, based on blueprints and 3D models.
Setup: Prepare and set up the CMM machine and measurement fixtures for each specific part.
Operation: Operate the CMM machine to perform measurements on manufactured parts and prototypes.
Analysis: Analyze measurement data to ensure products meet all specifications and dimensional requirements.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during programming or operation.
Quality control: Verify that parts meet quality standards and document findings.
Collaboration: Work with other departments like engineering and quality control to ensure product accuracy.

Required skills and qualifications

Preferred candidate profile

Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D drawings, 3D models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of CMM operation and maintenance.
Experience in dimensional inspection of precision components.
