Cloud Reliability Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Learn on the job while providing support for cloud infrastructure, kubernetes, DevOps.
• Understand customer environments, cloud architecture, network and applications to ensure that the customers solution on cloud is running smoothly.
• Define, implement, tweak monitoring, logging and uptime - making sure we know issues before the customer does.
• Work in rotational shifts 24x7, perform monitoring and triage of the issues reported on cloud services and resolve issues based on standard operating procedure.
• Perform health checks based on documented procedures to prevent issues.
• Categorize and prioritize the issues reported and engage the resolver groups and managers as needed for the critical issues.
• Manage escalations and customer communication at 1st level.
• Identify the recurring incidents and record them as problems.
• Provide recommendations for automations for incident managements

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

• 0-1 years experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Operations domains and IT operational experience.
• Good analytical, communication, problem solving, and learning skills.
• Knowledge on programming against cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and lean development methodologies.
• Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
