Cloud Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Manager to oversee our entire cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a specific focus on managing, deploying, and optimizing multiple client or internal websites. This pivotal role involves leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions, while ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

• Infrastructure Architecture and Management: Design, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure for multiple web properties using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and Route 53.
• Multi-Website Deployment & Management: Oversee the hosting, deployment, and performance of numerous websites, potentially using multi-account strategies with AWS Organizations for governance and centralized billing.
• Automation & DevOps: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible to automate deployment, management, and scaling processes.
• Performance & Optimization: Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization using tools like AWS CloudWatch. Implement strategies for cost optimization and performance tuning to ensure high efficiency and reliability.
• Security & Compliance: Define and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network security groups, and data encryption. Ensure all web properties and infrastructure comply with relevant security and data protection standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC2).
• Troubleshooting & Support: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and system integrations, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, IT operations, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into technical cloud solutions. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures. Generate reports on system health, performance, and cost management for stakeholders.

Backup, DR & Business Continuity

• Implement backup strategies using AWS Backup, S3 lifecycle policies, and snapshots.
• Plan and maintain disaster recovery (DR) architecture (RTO/RPO based).
• Daily backup of all website frontend and backend database.
• Ensure architecture follows fault tolerance and multi-AZ/region guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or DevOps roles, with proven experience managing complex AWS environments and multiple web applications.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of core AWS services, networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, VPN), security protocols, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in scripting Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional level) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is strongly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
