Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and processes to support data and application solutions. Your role will involve implementing governance, best practices, and security measures to reduce cloud costs, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure scalability, efficiency, and security. You will be a valuable member of the platform team, collaborating with various teams such as data governance and data engineering to support the development and deployment of data solutions. Emphasizing innovation, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will respond to and fulfill platform requests from internal business stakeholders, data analytics, data engineers, and QAs. Required Skill Sets: - Experience working in AWS, Redshift, Athena. - Prior experience supporting AWS infrastructure cloud operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting to optimize resources and reduce cloud costs while maintaining performance and scalability. - Implementing and maintaining security best practices, such as AWS IAM policies, encryption (KMS), and data protection mechanisms. - Proficiency in Docker, Terraform & Kubernetes. - Participation in defining cloud strategies, evaluating emerging technologies, and AWS services. - Working experience with JIRA Service Management. Preferred Qualifications: - University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in data engineering. - Experience with Cloud data platforms, preferably AWS (Lambda, SNS, S3, AWS Glue, Athena, RDS, ECS). - Monitoring AWS services using Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, Cloudwatch insights, etc. - Intermediate level skills in Python and SQL. - Expertise in resiliency planning, disaster recovery strategy development, and implementation. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build/test/deploy automation, and IaC (Infrastructure as Code). - Experience working within cross-functional, agile, or continuous delivery teams. - Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for solving challenging problems. - Proactive, self-starter with strong attention to detail. - Excellent professional communication skills, with experience presenting and effectively communicating findings to colleagues and clients.,
