Cloud Engineer (Kubernetes)

In your role overview, you will be responsible for the logical design, sizing, interoperability, scaling, and security aspects definition of the solution. You will manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines and analyze, optimize, implement, and maintain Multi-Platform cloud-based back-end computing environment. Additionally, you will implement and maintain security technologies and sound engineering design for all cloud deployments. It will be crucial for you to research, audit, test, and set standards for AWS and Azure cloud deployment frameworks and best practices to ensure compatibility and functionality in the enterprise. Independently developing reference materials for supported cloud technologies to be used for training of other technical staff will also be a part of your responsibilities. Leading the deployment and operation of various cloud-related infrastructure components such as C2S Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), RDS, EMR, LAMBDA, VPC, S3, and more will be under your purview. You will report on the health of the cloud services to leadership, provide detailed information around lifecycle and cost management, and support project execution activities from implementation through operational readiness. Making recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of cloud network, storage, and compute technologies will also be essential. Liaising with customers, architecture leadership, technical teams, and building and configuring build plans, code pipelines, and automated solutions will be part of your daily tasks. Managing assigned projects, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision, and performing any other duties as assigned will also be expected. Qualifications required for this role include possessing a strong understanding of IT technology including hardware and software with a holistic E2E focus of applications and services architecture. You must have a minimum of 5 years of IT background and 3+ years of Cloud infrastructure and engineering experience, including virtualization, cloud, server, storage, and networking. Experience in supporting cloud-based applications environments, knowledge of DevOps, SDLC, containers, microservices, APIs design, cloud computing models, orchestration, and monitoring technology is essential. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, .Net, ITSM, IT operations, programming skills, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity initiatives, and the ability to develop policies & procedures, conduct risk assessments, and communicate effectively at the C-level is required. A BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is a must, while certifications like TOGAF, AWS, Infrastructure, and Cloud are considered a plus. Your excellent communication skills, ability to work individually and within a team, partner with other business groups, and meet the requirements of the role effectively will be key to your success.,
