About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with 6-8 years of experience to join our dynamic team at Infogain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions. The Cloud Engineer will also be instrumental in automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using tools like Terraform and Ansible, ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are optimized for performance and security. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and to contribute to large-scale enterprise projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience of 6-8 years in cloud engineering, with a strong emphasis on AWS services, is essential. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly desirable. Candidates should have hands-on experience with core AWS services including EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, and VPC. Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible is required. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Unix/Linux scripting is also necessary. Additional skills in Python programming and familiarity with DevOps integrations like SonarQube and NexusIQ will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Terraform and Ansible to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub, and other DevOps tools.
- Monitor cloud environments for security, performance, and reliability, implementing necessary improvements proactively.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, including identity and access management (IAM), network configurations, and data protection.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and configurations for audit and knowledge sharing purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements and innovations.
