Role Overview

Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Technical (Individual)

• Develop & maintain

  Ansible playbooks

  and

  Terraform

  modules for provisioning Cloud (and other public clouds).
• Containerise legacy applications using

  Docker

  and orchestrate them with

  Kubernetes

  .
• Automate CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Concourse, etc.) to enable fast, reliable releases.
• Implement and validate

  disasterrecovery

  and highavailability patterns.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across Linux/Unix environments.

Team / Crossfunctional

• Act as the

  Information Systems Manager

  for Wealth Management International (WMIS) cloud platforms.
• Provide handson training and guidance to Operations, Development, and Infrastructure teams on

  Ansible, Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes

  .
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

• Overall Experience

• 7 + years in IT Operations or Software Engineering
• 5 + years working in cloud environments

• Cloud Platforms

• Minimum 2 years handson experience with

  IBM Cloud

  or any major public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Automation & Containerisation

• 2 years experience with

  Ansible

  (preferably Red Hat RH294 certification)
• 2 years experience with

  Docker

• InfrastructureasCode

• Proficient in

  Terraform

  (module creation, state management, workspaces)
• Optional but preferred:

  HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate (003)

• Container Orchestration

• Handson experience with

  Kubernetes

  (deployment, services, networking, RBAC, Helm, etc.)

• CKAD

  – Certified Kubernetes Application Developer

• Scripting

• Strong

  Python

  and/or

  Bash

  scripting skills

• Linux Administration

• Deep knowledge of

  RHEL / CentOS

  and commandline administration (systemctl, yum/dnf, SELinux, etc.)

• CI/CD

• Experience designing/maintaining pipelines using

  Jenkins
