Clinical Specialist

Role Summary

The Clinical Specialist is a medically trained or device-knowledgeable resource who supports clinical adoption of medical devices, assists in procedures, and bridges sales with medical users.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support during product implantation, procedures, or usage in hospital settings
• Train surgeons, clinicians, OR staff, and end-users on device usage, safety, and best practices
• Act as a technical liaison between R&D / product team and clinicians, providing feedback and suggestions
• Support sales team by joining sales calls, addressing technical questions, and facilitating adoption
• Conduct workshops, seminars, training sessions, and surgical demonstrations
• Monitor clinical outcomes, collect user feedback, and propose improvements
• Keep up with clinical literature and technology trends relevant to device domain
• Maintain documentation of training, clinical cases, feedback, and adverse events

Qualifications / Requirements

• Degree in life sciences / biomedical engineering / medical / paramedical discipline
• 2-5 years of experience in clinical/regulatory / product support in medical devices or similar domain
• Strong technical and clinical acumen
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Ability to work in sterile / OR environments and understand surgical protocols
• Willingness to travel and stay in hospitals overnight if needed

Reporting & Stakeholders

• Reports to Head of Clinical / Product / Sales
• Stakeholders: surgeons, clinicians, sales, quality, regulatory.
