Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our clinical setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Experience in various medical specialties such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and geriatrics will be highly valued.

Duties

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs and conducting intake assessments.
• Provide medical administrative support by managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with basic life support when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including urgent care, internal medicine, and surgical departments.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medical-surgical practices to enhance patient care.
• Support patients through their healthcare journey by providing exceptional service and addressing their needs effectively.
• Participate in the management of patients in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers.

Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, with exposure to dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine being advantageous.
• Familiarity with EHR systems is essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding practices is required.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics (PICU) is beneficial.
