Clinic Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting medical professionals by providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical activities. This position requires a strong understanding of various medical disciplines, including internal medicine, dermatology, and urgent care. The Clinical Assistant will work closely with patients, assisting them in navigating their healthcare journey while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic health records.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
• Support the clinic's operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients in various settings, including internal medicine, geriatrics, and urgent care.
• Participate in patient education regarding treatment plans and medication administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment in accordance with clinic standards.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to clinical practice.
• Experience or familiarity with internal medicine, dermatology, urgent care, geriatrics, medical-surgical procedures, and operating room (OR) environments.
• Proficient in medication administration techniques and understanding of pharmacology.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within a clinical setting.
