Job Description

Role Overview: As a Retail Banking Officer at Standard Chartered in Bangalore, you will be responsible for servicing walk-in customers, meeting their transactional needs, providing high-quality customer service, and increasing product penetration through cross-selling. Your focus will be on achieving allocated portfolio and revenue targets. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure high level of customer service and effectively manage difficult customer situations. - Resolve all complaints received for branches through COMMAND. - Gather and prepare statistics for service quality and productivity indicators. - Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, minimize comments in audits and inspections. - Identify ways to improve operational efficiency and control costs to meet budgets. - Process transactions with accuracy and commitment within standard turnaround time. - Monitor customer satisfaction survey ratings and ensure continuous improvement. - Adhere to laid-down processes, facilitate first-time resolution, minimize rejections and complaints. - Monitor transaction volumes and ensure effective transaction migration to alternate banking channels. - Ensure validity and completeness of transactions processed, authorize concessions by appropriate authorities. - Perform general reconciliation and control activities. - Be multi-skilled to handle various transactions and services as per guidelines. - Identify prospects for cross-selling and refer to sales staff. - Contribute to branch performance through referrals, efficient customer service, and effective operations controls. - Adhere to bank's Mis-selling & Sales Policies at all times. - Ensure full awareness and compliance with ORMA, Group Code of Conduct, KYC/CDD/EDD & Money laundering prevention policies and procedures. - Manage premises in areas of merchandising, housekeeping, store management, and health and safety guidelines. Qualifications: - Postgraduate with a consistent academic career. - 2 to 5 years of extensive sales experience. - Sales focused, target-oriented, quick learner, and customer-oriented. - Competitive awareness, excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. - Banking knowledge, management information skills, and good interpersonal skills.
