Civil Inspection Engineer oIL & Gas UAE

Role: Key Responsibilities 1. Supervise and manage all aspects of architectural and civil engineering for Oil & Gas construction work. 2. Ensure the construction work aligns with approved architectural and civil engineering designs. 3. Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and contractor’s work methods to ensure they comply with the contract & specification. 4. Conduct on-site inspections to check the quality of work and materials. 5. Monitor and ensure the correct installation of building foundations, structural elements, and finishes. 6. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to address design and technical issues on-site. 7. Ensure the implementation of value engineering solutions to optimize project costs. 8. Clarify Contractor’s RFI in accordance with the project & contract requirements. 9. Resolve site issues related to structural and architectural design, offering practical solutions. 10. Ensure the quality and safety of all materials used on-site, and approve suppliers and subcontractors. 11. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all design changes or variations from the original scope. 12.Oversee the application of relevant building codes and standards for construction and structural work. 13. Review and approve construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of structural & architectural works. 14. Assist in the preparation of final handover documentation, ensuring all aspects of design and construction are completed. 15. Review contractor’s claims and work progress, advising on approval or rejection. 16. Assist with design amendments and alterations, ensuring the final outcome matches client requirements. Qualifications & Experience Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Experience : Minimum 5 years in civil inspection, with at least 3 years in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector. Show more Show less
