CIVIL ENGINEER(Building)

As a Civil Engineer for Finished Stage Buildings, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Supervising day-to-day finishing activities such as plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, carpentry, waterproofing, false ceiling, and faade works. - Ensuring all works comply with technical drawings, approved materials, and workmanship standards. - Planning and allocating manpower, tools, and materials effectively to achieve project timelines. - Inspecting finishing details for accuracy in alignment, levels, joints, and aesthetics. In terms of Quality Assurance & Compliance, you will be responsible for: - Conducting regular quality checks (internal snagging) and rectifying defects before client inspections. - Ensuring implementation of safety standards and compliance with relevant codes. - Verifying and approving contractor work measurements and quality certificates. Your role will also involve Coordination & Communication tasks such as: - Coordinating with MEP teams to ensure clearance of concealed services before finishing works. - Liaising with architects, structural consultants, and client representatives for smooth approval workflows. - Attending progress review meetings, providing timely updates and reports. Regarding Documentation & Reporting, you will be expected to: - Maintain DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), checklists, work inspection reports, material consumption logs, and snag lists. - Prepare BOQs, material requirement plans, and ensure controlled material wastage. - Support project handover documentation including as-built drawings and QA records. When it comes to Project Handover, your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring final mock-ups and ensuring approval prior to bulk execution. - Executing final snag closure, housekeeping, cleaning, and readiness for occupation. - Assisting in statutory clearances and third-party inspections as required.
