Civil Engineer

Job Description

Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of commercial and residential buildings. Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility, including soil testing and environmental impact analysis. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project alignment with design and regulatory standards. Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as health and safety standards. Analyse risks and develop mitigation strategies for structural integrity and environmental concerns. Supervise construction activities, providing technical guidance to on-site teams and resolving engineering issues as they arise. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and updates to clients, stakeholders, and government authorities. Job Requirements Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred for senior roles). Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure (depending on experience level). Proven experience in civil engineering projects (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles). Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or STAAD.Pro. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse project teams. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
