Civil Engineer- Design & Estimation / Chennai/Refex

We are hiring Civil Engineer - Design & Estimation. Role & responsibilities 1. Prepare, coordinate and assist, as required, in the preparation of multi-disciplinary proposals for the water and wastewater industry, working with the Senior Proposals Engineer 2. Discuss project requirements with clients and sub-contractors 3. Develop a strategy for each tender in conjunction with other members of the team 4. Define process requirements for proposals and tenders that will ensure that specified water and wastewater quality standards can be met in consultation with process designers 5. Specify suitable process plant equipment, prepare plant layout and P & I D proposal sketches for drafting 6. Undertake, coordinate and assist in the process design (including process guarantees), engineering design and production of specifications for proposals in association with mechanical, electrical and process designers 7. Direct Draughtsman in the production of tender drawings. 8. Check specifications and tender drawings to confirm compliance with overall design 9. Ensure appropriate commercial input to tenders in conjunction with other members of the team 10. Prepare and / or assist in the preparation of cost estimates using company estimating tools 11. Prepare, coordinate and assist in the writing of reports, technical write-ups, data sheets, and process plant descriptions for tenders 12. Compile tender documentation incorporating all technical and commercial inputs 13. Participate in tender reviews Desired Profile: 1. Degree qualified in a civil engineering discipline. M.tech Structural or Environmental Engineering added advantage 2. Must have experience of writing technical reports 3. Experience within the water industry essential 4. Ability to work on multiple assignments 5. Knowledge and / or experience with Causeway or other similar estimating software 6. Highly proficient in Auto CADD Skills required : 1. Civil Engineering 2.
