Job Title: Cost Estimation Engineer Utility Scale Solar & BESS

Location: Delhi

Experience:

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in estimation, tendering, or proposal engineering for renewable energy or power projects.

• Relevant experience in cost estimation, proposal engineering, or tendering for renewable energy projects.

• Experience in international solar/BESS projects is an added advantage.

Job Summary:

Cost Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare

  detailed cost estimates

  for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Collaborate with

  Business Development, Engineering, and Project Management

  teams to ensure proposals are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.
• Ensure

  timely receipt of technical inputs and BOQs

  from the design and engineering teams.
• Study and analyze

  RFPs

  , technical specifications, drawings, site survey reports, and overall project scope.
• Review and understand

  technical drawings

  , layouts, and system configurations related to Solar PV, BESS, and substations.
• Send

  enquiries to suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants

  , and manage the receipt, evaluation, comparison, and analysis of quotations.
• Develop

  accurate and competitive cost models

  for bids and project proposals.
• Maintain and track

  historical cost data

  to enhance the accuracy of future estimates.
• Conduct

  cost benchmarking

  and value engineering where applicable.
• Stay updated on

  industry trends, market pricing, and emerging technologies

  in Solar PV and BESS.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of

  utility-scale Solar PV and BESS systems

  .
• Basic understanding of

  Substation SLDs and drawings

  .
• Familiarity with

  BOQs, cost breakdown structures, and estimation tools

  .
• Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Knowledge of international codes, standards, and pricing trends (preferred).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in

  Engineering

  (Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy or related field).

• Relevant experience in cost estimation, proposal engineering, or tendering for renewable energy projects.

• Experience in international solar/BESS projects is an added advantage.
