Job Description

As the Chief Security Officer (CSO) at SGT University, your role involves overseeing the security measures on a dynamic campus spread over 70 acres near Gurgaon. Your primary responsibility is to protect and safeguard all employees, students, and visitors while ensuring the security of university assets at all times. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a proactive approach towards security events, emergency management, and the prevention of theft, indiscipline, and misbehavior. Your key responsibilities include: - Supervising personnel, equipment, and real property security within the assigned area of the University campus - Overseeing the evaluation, discipline, and discharge of personnel within the Security Department - Maintaining liaison with Police and district Authorities regarding law and order issues - Executing fire prevention, safety, and security policies to prevent incidents on campus - Addressing and resolving complaints, developing procedures to minimize losses, and informing stakeholders about safety regulations - Overseeing incident reports, initiating follow-up actions, and conducting training activities for department staff - Ensuring strict surveillance inside and outside the campus and coordinating with IT/Facility team for security gadgets' maintenance - Coordinating with Protocol Officer and others to ensure the safety of VIP and important visits to the University - Making initial decisions during serious incidents and informing relevant stakeholders as needed You are expected to be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with over 10 years of experience in Security Domain, preferably as a Graduate or with a military background. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, judgment, and the ability to strategize and execute plans through teamwork are essential for this role. The suitable candidate should have a demonstrable track record of implementing security solutions, managing security risks, and collaborating with various stakeholders within the public and private sector. Additionally, you should possess the ability to work closely with Senior Management, academic staff, administrators, and law enforcement agencies to address security concerns effectively.
