Job Description

About the Role:

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of our company’s marketing and advertising initiatives. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the brand, driving user acquisition, increasing market share, and delivering sustainable growth. This is a strategic leadership position that also requires a hands-on approach in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s marketing strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Brand & Positioning

  • Own the brand identity and ensure consistency across all platforms and communications.
  • Strengthen brand visibility and trust in the market through PR, partnerships, and storytelling.

Digital Marketing

  • Lead digital acquisition strategies (SEO, SEM, social, email, influencer, content marketing, etc.).
  • Leverage data and analytics to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.

Product & Growth Marketing

  • Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to design and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive user growth, engagement, and retention through targeted campaigns and performance metrics.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Stay on top of market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
  • Conduct regular performance and ROI analysis of marketing efforts.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget.
  • Present performance metrics, insights, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and board.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in marketing leadership roles, preferably in startups, tech, or B2C/B2B environments.
  • Demonstrated success in developing data-driven marketing strategies that scale.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • MBA in Marketing or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Overtime pay
  • Performance bonus

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
