Position Details

• Duration:

  Minimum of 1–2 months, with potential for extension.

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate the accuracy, depth, and domain relevance of LLM-generated content in key areas of chemistry and chemical engineering.
• Design and review domain-specific evaluation tasks that challenge model understanding of complex scientific and engineering concepts.
• Provide high-quality feedback on model outputs, identifying scientific inaccuracies, reasoning gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to interpret failure modes and inform model alignment strategies.
• Work part-time (10-20 hours/week) with a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• A PhD (or are currently a PhD candidate) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related STEM discipline.
• Deep familiarity with current research and open questions in your area(s) of specialization.
• A strong ability to critically evaluate scientific logic, technical articulation, and empirical methods.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to technical detail.
• Strong written communication skills, especially in scientific contexts.
• Comfort working independently and asynchronously in a remote, distributed environment.
• Basic understanding of Python or willingness to learn is preferred, but not required.
