Job Description

Job Summary:

Chemical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and safety.
Monitor production processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Analyze process data and prepare reports on process performance and improvements.
Collaborate with research & development teams to scale up processes from pilot to production scale.
Evaluate and select appropriate equipment and materials for chemical processes.
Participate in process hazard analysis (PHA) and risk assessments.
Implement quality control measures to maintain product specifications.
Support plant commissioning, start-up, and shutdown procedures.
Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.

Required Skills :

Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Strong understanding of chemical process design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction engineering.
Familiarity with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB, etc.) is a plus.
Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, HAZOP, etc.) and environmental regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficient in MS Office and data analysis tools.
