Chemical Engineer

A chemical engineer for a company focused on lithium-ion battery, solar panel, and carbon upcycling, along with green hydrogen production, will design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for material recovery, recycling, and new product creation. This role involves scaling up bench-scale processes, ensuring process safety and efficiency, developing sustainable methods for material and energy recovery, and managing waste streams to achieve net-zero emission goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Design & Development:Design, implement, and maintain chemical processes for lithium-ion battery and solar panel recycling, carbon upcycling, and green hydrogen production.
• Material Recovery & Upcycling:Develop and optimize methods for reclaiming valuable materials from spent batteries and solar panels, and create processes to convert carbon sources into new products.
• Process Optimization & Scaling:Evaluate and improve existing processing steps and scale up promising laboratory-scale processes to pilot or commercial levels.
• Quality Control:Implement monitoring and sampling protocols to ensure the quality of recovered materials and final products.
• Safety Management:Develop and manage process safety measures for chemical reactors and operations, focusing on safe storage and handling of materials and fuels.
• Environmental Compliance & Sustainability:Work towards net-zero emission goals by developing processes for waste treatment, capturing harmful greenhouse gases, and ensuring the economic and environmental sustainability of recycling operations
