Role & responsibilities Technical Experience 3-7 years of hands-on experience in structural steel detailing and modeling Experience reviewing and validating Tekla Structures models and drawings Background in checking fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and erection plans Ability to identify and resolve clash detection issues and design conflicts Experience implementing quality control standards for design documentation Capability to verify material quantities, connection details, and dimensional accuracy Industry Knowledge Understanding of steel fabrication processes and limitations in the Indian context Knowledge of welding symbols, specifications, and standards Familiarity with Indian structural steel codes (IS 800, IS 801, IS 806, etc.) Experience with material optimization and fabrication efficiency Understanding of site erection sequences and practical constructability issues Knowledge of steel connection design principles per Indian standards Project Experience Experience working on Indian steel structure projects (industrial buildings, commercial complexes, infrastructure projects) Ability to coordinate between engineering, drafting, and fabrication teams Background in managing design documentation for steel projects Exposure to mentoring junior detailers and providing technical guidance Contribution to improving design workflows and reducing errors Software Proficiency Proficiency in Tekla Structures, including components and templates Ability to review and validate BIM models created by others Experience with drawing markup and revision management systems Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software Communication Skills Ability to clearly document and communicate issues to design teams Experience participating in design review meetings Collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts Ability to interpret and explain technical specifications and requirements Preferred candidate profile Checker From Bangalore
