Role Overview

Internal Auditor

You will work closely with the management to strengthen internal controls, improve financial integrity, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Financial Review

• Conduct internal audits across departments and multiple branch locations.
• Review financial statements, ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate branch-wise operational processes including bookings, ticketing, BSP, refunds, vendor settlements, credit card payments, etc.
• Identify discrepancies, process gaps, and areas of financial risk.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Assess internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support statutory and management reporting audits where required.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial guidelines.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare detailed audit reports, observations, and corrective action plans.
• Present audit findings to the CFO and Senior Management.
• Follow up on audit observations to ensure timely closure.

Process & Operational Improvement

• Analyze financial operations and identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend process changes to enhance governance and efficiency.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement better internal control mechanisms.

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Accounting & Auditing Standards:
• Hands-on experience in audit execution and financial analysis.
• Expertise in audit sampling, reconciliations, audit documentation, and exception reporting.
• Travel Industry financial knowledge preferred:
• BSP, ticketing process, refunds, supplier reconciliation, credit cards, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, audit tools, and ERP/accounting software.

Qualifications

• CA / CA-Inter / MBA Finance preferred.
