Chartered Accountant

As an Accountant based in Mumbai responsible for managing the financial operations, taxation, and statutory compliance of the subsidiary company in Tanzania, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Maintain accurate books of accounts for the Tanzanian subsidiary in compliance with IFRS and local Tanzanian regulations. - Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings efficiently. - Handle tax filings, VAT, and statutory returns in accordance with Tanzanian laws. - Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements such as TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority), NSSF, and other statutory bodies. - Coordinate with local auditors, consultants, and the in-country team to ensure smooth financial operations. - Prepare management reports and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities for the subsidiary. - Provide support for cross-border transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
