As a Channel Sales Manager - Distributor Development, your role involves driving market expansion by appointing, managing, and growing distributors and trade partners across assigned territories. Your focus will be on building a robust channel network, increasing secondary sales, improving market penetration, and strengthening brand presence at the trade level. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify, appoint, and onboard new distributors in assigned territories - Strengthen relationships with existing distributors to improve performance and coverage - Expand dealer and retailer networks through distributors - Ensure effective market coverage and availability of products - Drive primary and secondary sales targets through channel partners - Support distributors in achieving monthly and quarterly sales objectives - Monitor sales performance, stock movement, and market feedback - Execute market expansion plans in new and under-penetrated areas - Conduct regular market visits to distributors, dealers, and retailers - Support distributors with product knowledge, pricing guidance, and schemes - Assist in executing trade promotions, dealer meets, and product awareness activities - Address channel concerns related to pricing, logistics, and service coordination - Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies - Provide regular market feedback to management - Maintain accurate reports on distributor performance, market coverage, and sales trends - Coordinate with internal teams such as sales operations, logistics, finance, and production - Align field execution with company sales and growth strategies **Candidate Profile:** **Must-Have Requirements** - 5-7 years of experience in channel sales / distributor development - Prior experience in building materials, paints, cement, construction chemicals, or allied industries - Proven experience in appointing and managing distributors - Strong dealer and trade relationship management skills - Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region - Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred) **Good-to-Have** - Experience in launching new markets or expanding territories - Exposure to trade marketing activities and dealer promotions - Knowledge of regional markets and trade dynamics - Proficiency in local/regional languages (as per location) This is a full-time position requiring 75% travel.
