As a CFX Artist Cloth, Hair & Simulation Specialist at Pepi Digital in Chennai, you will bring characters to life by implementing realistic cloth behavior, hair flow, and accessory dynamics. Your expertise in crafting secondary motion and dynamic effects will enhance storytelling and visual appeal in various cinematic and commercial projects. - Creating and simulating cloth, hair, fur, and accessory dynamics using tools such as Marvelous Designer, Maya nCloth, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. - Collaborating with modeling, rigging, and animation teams to ensure seamless FX performance on characters. - Handling dynamic simulations for a wide range of elements like ethnic garments, flowing gowns, turbans, scarves, jewelry, and other secondary components. - Working on both stylized and photorealistic projects, focusing on physical accuracy and visual beauty to elevate the overall quality of the animations. - Simulating FX for animated IPs, cinematic brand videos, and immersive product showcase projects. - Optimizing simulations for both offline rendering and real-time playback in Unreal Engine. - Troubleshooting technical issues related to collisions, clipping, or performance to meet creative expectations. To excel in this role, you should have: - At least 2 years of professional experience as a CFX Artist in animation, film, or 3D production. - Proficiency in tools like Marvelous Designer, Autodesk Maya, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. - A solid understanding of fabric behavior, physics simulation, and motion dynamics. - Comfort working with rigged characters and adept at troubleshooting FX-related issues. - A strong demo reel showcasing diverse CFX simulations across clothing, hair, or accessories to demonstrate your skills and experience.,
