Role Overview: As a CFX Artist Cloth, Hair & Simulation Specialist at Pepi Digital in Chennai, you will be crucial in bringing characters to life through realistic cloth behavior, hair flow, and accessory dynamics. Your expertise in creating secondary motion and dynamic effects will significantly enhance storytelling and visual appeal in various cinematic and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities: - Create and simulate cloth, hair, fur, and accessory dynamics using tools such as Marvelous Designer, Maya nCloth, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. - Collaborate with modeling, rigging, and animation teams to ensure seamless FX performance on characters. - Handle dynamic simulations for a variety of elements including ethnic garments, flowing gowns, turbans, scarves, jewelry, and other secondary components. - Work on stylized and photorealistic projects, focusing on physical accuracy and visual beauty to elevate animation quality. - Simulate FX for animated IPs, cinematic brand videos, and immersive product showcase projects. - Optimize simulations for both offline rendering and real-time playback in Unreal Engine. - Troubleshoot technical issues related to collisions, clipping, or performance to meet creative expectations. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a CFX Artist in animation, film, or 3D production. - Proficiency in tools like Marvelous Designer, Autodesk Maya, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. - Solid understanding of fabric behavior, physics simulation, and motion dynamics. - Comfortable working with rigged characters and adept at troubleshooting FX-related issues. - Strong demo reel showcasing diverse CFX simulations across clothing, hair, or accessories to demonstrate skills and experience.,
