XSQUADS Tech Private Limited is seeking a skilled 3D Character Artist with 2 years of experience to join their team in Surat. As a 3D Character Artist, you will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality characters for games. Your primary duties will include creating various 3D character models, developing detailed sculpts, textures, and materials for real-time game engines, and collaborating with concept artists and animators to optimize character models for animation and rigging. To excel in this role, you must have proven experience as a 3D Character Artist in the gaming industry and proficiency in industry-standard modeling software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, and ZBrush. Strong skills in sculpting, topology, retopology, and PBR texturing are essential, along with experience using tools like Substance Painter and Photoshop for texture creation. Familiarity with game engines like Unity 3D or Unreal Engine is also required. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of character anatomy, proportions, and design principles, as well as the ability to create both realistic and stylized characters with attention to detail. Experience with AI-powered tools for character modeling and texturing, strong UV unwrapping, rigging preparation, and optimization skills are highly desirable. Preferred skills for this role include knowledge of character rigging and skinning, experience in hair, fur, and cloth simulations, understanding of shader creation and material setups in game engines, and the ability to create modular character assets for customization. A passion for developing immersive and visually appealing characters is also a plus.
