Role Summary

We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Chartered Accountant (CA) to take on the CFO role for our sports-club/gymkhana operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial acumen with firsthand understanding of club/sports-club operations, budgeting, member-based revenue models, and administrative oversight typical to gymkhana/sports-club environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end financial management: budgeting, forecasting, cash flows, revenue from memberships/events, cost control, financial reporting and compliance (statutory, tax, audit)

  • Work closely with club management/operations team: manage payroll, vendor payments, capital expenditure for club facilities, maintenance costs, equipment purchases or upgrades
  • Develop financial strategy: optimise membership revenue streams, event-based income (tournaments, tournaments fees, functions), sponsorships, and ensure sustainability
  • Collaborate with operations/club manager to assess profitability of different sports/club segments
  • Prepare regular financial reports for club committee/board/management, highlight financial health, identify cost overruns or revenue opportunities
  • Ensure compliance statutory accounts, taxes, audits
  • Possibly support fundraising, sponsorships or membership drives if club expands or upgrades
  • Work with admin/HR teams overseeing staff salaries, club-staff accounts, contractual vendors, maintenance agreements, and other operational finances
  • Required Qualifications & ProfileFully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Prior experience (ideally) in club management, gymkhana, sports-club, hospitality or recreation-club finance/administration
  • Strong accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow, revenue & cost management skills
  • Understanding of membership/recurring revenue model, event-based revenue, club maintenance/operational costs
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder-management skills (members, vendors, club committee/management)
  • Experience with financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit, taxation
  • Ability to work in dynamic club environment result-oriented but also hands-on for club-specific demands (maintenance, events, variable revenue)
  • Desirable (but optional):Prior sports / gymkhana / club administrative exposure (operations + finance)
  • Familiarity with club operations: membership management, events, maintenance cycles, vendor contracts, facility management
  • Some understanding of sports-club scheduling, events, membership retention strategies
