Job Title: Certification Executive
Location: Siliguri
Department: Compliance / Quality / Sustainability
Reports To: Compliance Manager / Director
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (Food Technology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Commerce, or related fields)
Experience: Minimum 6 month to 2 years of experience in certification, compliance, or quality control

Job Summary

The Certification Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Trustea, FSSAI, Organic, and Export certifications, while also managing activities related to Government e-Marketplace (GeM), tendering, and documentation. The role requires attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and the ability to handle certification, bidding, and compliance documentation efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain compliance with Trustea, FSSAI, Organic, and Export Certification standards.
  • Prepare, verify, and update all certification-related documentation and records.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, certification agencies, and government authorities for inspections and renewals.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure readiness for certification.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sustainability, and worker welfare standards.
  • Support management in corrective and preventive actions for audit findings.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of certification procedures, renewals, and trade standards.
  • Liaise with internal teams for data submission, documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
  • Handle tender searching, uploading, documentation, and bidding process on GeM and other tender portals.
  • Track bid status, follow up on tender responses, and ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Assist in training programs and awareness sessions on certification and compliance standards.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of FSSAI regulations, organic certification, and international trade standards.
  • Strong understanding of GeM portal operations, tender uploading, and bidding documentation.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate audits and interact with regulatory and certification bodies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external authorities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in tea certification and compliance.
  • Knowledge of export-related certifications and documentation.
  • Experience in government or institutional tender management.
  • Minimum 6 month to 2 years of experience in certification, compliance, quality control, or tender management
