Job Summary

CCTV & Network Technician

Key Responsibilities

• CCTV & IP Camera Installation

• Install, configure, and maintain analog and IP-based CCTV systems.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of surveillance systems.
• Ensure optimal camera coverage and recording quality.

• Networking & Configuration

• Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and access points.
• Support LAN/WAN setup, IP addressing, and VLAN configurations.
• Perform network diagnostics and resolve connectivity issues.

• Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling

• Carry out

  fiber splicing, termination, and OTDR testing

  .
• Install and label structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber).
• Ensure all cabling is installed according to standards and safety protocols.

• Site Survey & Project Planning

• Conduct site surveys to identify project requirements and scope of work.
• Prepare

  Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

  and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion.

• Access Point & Wireless Setup

• Install and configure wireless access points and controllers.
• Optimize Wi-Fi coverage and performance across client environments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  Bachelor of Engineering in EEE / IT / ECE / CS, or related field.

• Certifications:

  CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent preferred.

• Experience:

  15 years of hands-on experience in CCTV and network installation projects.

• Technical Skills:

• IP camera setup, NVR/DVR configuration
• Network switch & router configuration (Cisco, Huawei, etc.)
• Fiber optic splicing and testing
• Structured cabling installation (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)
• Wi-Fi and Access Point deployment
• BOQ preparation and documentation
• Site survey and technical reporting

• Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
