Description
As a Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for performing service and installation of access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems, and other security-related systems. You will evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot systems, and make necessary repairs. Additionally, you will be involved in performing upgrades and additions to systems to enhance functionality and usability. Key Responsibilities: - Perform service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems, and other security-related systems. - Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot systems, and perform necessary repairs. - Perform upgrades and additions to systems for increased functionality and usability. - Perform computer program entry as required for closed circuit television cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems. - Coordinate with administration and other trades to efficiently complete projects/work orders. - Inform personnel regarding procedures and work order status for decision-making and compliance with regulations. - Prepare documentation in various formats to support compliance with regulations and convey information. - Assist other trades personnel as required to support them in their work activities. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 1 year of experience in CCTV (IP & Analog Based) Technology. - Ability to select the proper type of cable and perform installation in plenum or non-plenum rated environments. - Intermediate knowledge of computer, networks, and information technology systems. - Intermediate knowledge of structured cabling. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Effective organization and planning skills. - Ability to maintain an established work schedule, including some evenings and weekends. - Ability to communicate concisely and effectively. - Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely. Please note that this is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. Experience in alarm systems and access control technologies is preferred.
