The opportunity
EY GDS Content Center of Excellence is a fast-growing team of talented copywriters, editors, content strategists, thought leadership writers, technical writers and editorial managers. People in the team provide support for key global EY publications and campaigns. We are looking for accomplished technical writer with strong research and content creation skills. In this role, you will prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation, with very little guidance or supervision. You will synthesize business requirements and help support on strategic or deeply complex documentation scenarios in a cross-team environment. Your key responsibilities
Create and review user/administrator guides, installation guides, video tutorials, online help, and developer documentation for products/services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the business problem and the communication/training requirement Identify information gaps, gather process/application knowledge and conduct audience analysis to define the informational architecture and appropriate instructional design approach Write crisp, concise and easy-to-follow technical documents Organize and present information through diagrams, flow charts and process flow maps Evaluate organization structure to help improve content management Provide recommendations on best practices in technical documentation to customers Schedule the writing deliverables, review the content deliverable quality, serve as the liaison between the product team and the content/creative team Ensure that the content is compliant with EY brand guidelines and Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications Lead documentation initiatives and drive guidelines and best practices for the technical writing function Create content for state-of-the-art applications for a diverse range of user groups from across the best-in-class companies

To qualify for the role, you must have At least 8-9 years of related experience Bachelors or masters degree, preferably in English literature or mass communication
Ideally, youll also have Working knowledge of tools such as Visio, Snagit and RoboHelp Aptitude and willingness to continually expand your core skillset
Technologies and tools Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat/PDF-XChange Knowledge in Project Management tools and methods
