Cath Lab Technician

As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at Sparsh Hospital, your role involves various responsibilities before, during, and after procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, setting up equipment, assisting cardiologists during various cardiac procedures, monitoring patient vitals, capturing real-time images, ensuring safety and emergency readiness, providing post-procedural care to patients, and handling administrative and technical duties. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Pre-Procedural Responsibilities:** - Verify patient identity and consent. - Prepare and position patients for procedures. - Shave, disinfect, and drape the access site. - Attach ECG leads, blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, and other monitors. - Ensure the cath lab is clean, sterile, and ready. - Set up and calibrate monitoring equipment. - Prepare catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other disposable materials. - **Intra-Procedural Responsibilities:** - Assist cardiologists during various procedures. - Handle catheters, wires, and other tools under sterile conditions. - Operate fluoroscopy/X-ray imaging systems. - Monitor and record patient vitals continuously. - Capture and archive real-time images. - Monitor for contrast reactions, bleeding, or arrhythmias. - **Post-Procedural Responsibilities:** - Help with removing catheters and achieving hemostasis. - Monitor the patient during initial recovery. - Transport patients safely to recovery or ICU. - Disinfect and reset equipment after procedures. - **Administrative & Technical Duties:** - Record procedural data, times, and medications used. - Maintain logs of daily procedures and complications. - Monitor stock levels of consumables. - Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols. **Qualifications Required:** - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Cardiac Technology or related field. - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. - Prior experience working in a cardiac cath lab setting. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.,
