What you’ll do:

1- End-to-end ownership of a select problem statement of a set of operations of a service category

2- At UC, solving a problem statement involves the following aspects. As a Category Manager, at a given point in time, you will be actively part of a few of these:

• Actively contribute towards identifying the core problem and differentiate this from the symptoms of the same problem. This would mean being closer to the ground and interacting a lot with the users and the service professionals to form your thesis. Validating or invalidating the same through data
• Anchor design to execution of pilots on the basis of the theses formed above. This would mean working cross functionally with trainers, products and marketing
• Iterating the design of the pilots based on the learnings till a scalable version is in-place
• Anchor the scale-up of the solution to the larger business

3- Alternatively, the role could revolve around managing operations of a part of the business.

• At UC we understand that operations is the core and hence we pay a lot of attention to the talent density in the same. Here, your work will involve:
• Managing the supply onboarding funnel for a category. Here, the objective is to add service professionals to the platform by solving the bottlenecks in the business
• Managing the supply quality function of a category. We believe that our business gets built inside the training rooms and hence, here, the job is to ensure that the trainings are:

-Relevant to the needs of the user - do we need to add certain skills that users are asking for?

-Effective for the professionals - are there better training methods possible?

-Scalable through tech - while we have class rooms, the tech systems should be able to build on it and ensure that service professionals continue to upgrade

4- Across all of the roles, there will be an overlap with crossfunctional teams.

What we’ll need:

• 1-2years of work experience
• Bachelors mandatory
• Eager, committed to excellence and have a consistent track record of strong performance
• Ability to work in an environment that is dynamic, requires solving ambiguous problems and is highly focused on achieving desired outcomes.
• Proactive and results-oriented attitude
• Have an ear to the ground, get your hands dirty, and solve real problems.
