Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a fashion-forward Category Manager to lead our Fashion vertical, driving strategic growth across apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of fashion trends, seasonal planning, and brand management in the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Fashion Category Strategy

  • Develop seasonal and annual fashion category strategies
  • Analyze fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market opportunities
  • Create compelling product assortments across different fashion segments
  • Plan seasonal buying calendars and coordinate with fashion weeks/trade shows

Brand & Vendor Partnership

  • Build relationships with fashion brands, designers, and manufacturers
  • Negotiate terms with fashion suppliers and manage vendor performance
  • Onboard emerging and established fashion brands
  • Manage private label development and sourcing strategies

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee seasonal product planning from concept to sale
  • Manage product development timelines and coordinate with design teams
  • Plan markdowns, clearance strategies, and inventory optimization
  • Monitor fashion product performance and adjust strategies accordingly

Trend Analysis & Forecasting

  • Stay current with global fashion trends and consumer preferences
  • Analyze sales data to identify winning products and categories
  • Forecast demand for seasonal collections and special events
  • Provide trend insights to marketing and merchandising teams

Commercial Excellence

  • Drive revenue growth and margin optimization across fashion categories
  • Plan and execute seasonal promotions and fashion events
  • Collaborate with visual merchandising team on product presentation
  • Analyze competitor pricing and positioning strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Fashion Management, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in category management, preferably in fashion e-commerce.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and online merchandising.
  • Proficient in Excel, marketplace tools, and reporting dashboards.
