Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Category Strategy & Business Planning

  • Analyze sales performance across categories and define growth strategies.
  • Define

    pricing, promotions, and discounting strategies

    to achieve sell-through and margin goals.
  • Develop strategies for

    slow-moving SKUs

    and create a

    Never-Out-Of-Stock (NOOS)

    range in fashion and babycare hardlines.
  • Work with the business team to build relevant ranges for

    outright sales to online platforms

    , ensuring the right pricing and positioning.
  • Ability to increase selection on the monobrand site by identifying and onboarding 3rd party sellers who can bring complimentary selection on the website through

    drop ship model.

Vendor & Product Development

  • Partner with vendors to

    develop SMU (Special Make-Up Unit) lines

    for D2C and marketplaces across

    fashion & hardlines

    .
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, right assortment, and quality standards.

Catalogue, Content & Photoshoot Management

  • Collaborate with the

    cataloguing team

    to ensure accurate product representation, descriptions, and keyword tagging.
  • Provide creative input on

    photoshoots

    to highlight product features and benefits, improving conversion.
  • Regularly audit catalogue hygiene and ensure alignment with category strategy.

Platform-Specific Strategy

  • Understand the nuances of

    different online platforms

    (own D2C site + marketplaces) and define

    platform-specific assortment and pricing strategies

    .
  • Position relevant product sets on each platform to maximize efficiency and target the right customer cohorts.

Sales Growth & Operations

  • Monitor category KPIs including GMV, margin, sell-through, stock cover, cancellations, and returns.
  • Work with

    SCM and business operations

    to ensure stock availability, timely replenishments, and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Develop seasonal / promotional plans aligned with brand priorities and eCommerce events (Big Billion Days, Great Indian Festival, etc.).
