Hiring: Foundry Process Engineer – Non-Ferrous Castings (Shell Moulding + Die Casting) Location: Vadodara Sector: Brass, Gunmetal, Bronze Components Project Type: New Foundry Setup (Mid-Scale Production) About the Role: We are setting up a modern non-ferrous casting facility focused on brass, bronze, gunmetal, and lead-free alloys. We are looking for an experienced engineer or technical head who understands the complete casting workflow — from pattern to pouring — and can lead the development, control quality, and solve real-life foundry issues. Who You Are: An engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in non-ferrous foundry operations Well-versed in shell moulding, core making (shell cores), and casting development Have tackled defects like porosity, cold shuts, misruns, and know how to prevent them Understand how different alloys behave: C69300, C89836, C87800, etc. Can guide tooling, gating, venting, pouring techniques — and scale up production Comfortable working on the shop floor and mentoring a new team You Should Know: How to choose the right shell sand, resin, and process temperature How to set up and maintain a shell core shooter + oven cycle What to watch for in brass/gunmetal melting — zinc loss, dross, metal flow How to handle high-volume small parts (250–300 g) with tight tolerances How to bridge the transition from shell moulding to GDC tilt machines while maintaining dimensional accuracy Why Join UsBe part of a ground-up setup — define the process, layout, and systems Work on next-gen casting systems: tilt-pour GDC with auto die dipping Shape the foundry culture — high quality, low scrap, future-ready Long-term leadership opportunity for the right candidate Requirements: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Foundry or equivalent Minimum 5–7 years experience in non-ferrous shell moulding or GDC Strong understanding of casting tooling, gating, and metallurgy Comfortable with practical work, floor troubleshooting, and vendor coordination
