Job Description

Key Responsibilities

5Cs Engine components
Design cast components using CAD tools (e.g., Creo / Pro-E) tailored to sand casting, investment casting, die casting, or gravity casting processes.
Collaborate with foundries and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet casting feasibility, tooling requirements, and process capabilities.
Perform casting simulations (e.g., MAGMASOFT, ProCAST) to predict defects, solidification behavior, and optimize gating/riser systems.
Apply knowledge of metallurgy and material properties to select appropriate alloys and heat treatment processes.
Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure compliance with GD&T and dimensional standards.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation of cast parts.
Document design specifications, process parameters, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
37 years of experience in casting design and development.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and casting simulation software.
Strong understanding of casting processes, mold design, and defect mitigation.
Familiarity with material standards (ASTM, ISO) and quality control methods.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
