Cashier/Sales Assistant

• Operate Cash Registers/POS Systems: Use electronic equipment to scan items, process payments, and record transactions.

Customer Service

• Greet & Assist Customers: Welcome customers, answer their questions about products or services, and help them find specific items.
• Resolve Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and helpful manner.
• Promote Sales: Upsell or cross-sell products, inform customers about promotions, and provide product recommendations.

Store Maintenance & Operations

• Maintain Checkout Area: Keep the checkout counter and surrounding areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Stocking & Inventory: Assist with stocking shelves and rotating merchandise to ensure products are available.
• Follow Security Procedures: Adhere to store policies to prevent theft and ensure the security of cash and merchandise.

Communication & Teamwork

• Collaborate with Team: Work with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and meet sales goals.
• Report Equipment Issues: Report any problems or malfunctions with cash registers, scanners, or other equipment to management.
• Train New Cashiers: In some roles, cashiers may assist with training new employees.
• Process Payments: Accept and process payments in various forms, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks.
• Issue Receipts & Change: Provide customers with receipts and accurate change for cash transactions.
• Handle Returns & Exchanges: Process customer returns and exchanges efficiently and according to store policy.
• Balance Cash Drawers: At the beginning and end of shifts, count the cash in the register to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month

• Guntur, Andhra Pradesh: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cashiering: 1 year (Preferred)
