Job Title: Cashier

Department: Front Office / Food & Beverage / Accounts (depending on hotel operations)

Job Summary:

Responsible for handling all cash, credit, and other forms of payments accurately and efficiently in the hotel. They ensure proper billing, maintain cash registers, assist guests with payment-related queries, and support smooth financial transactions in line with hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests courteously and handle payment transactions efficiently.
• Process cash, credit/debit cards, digital payments, and vouchers.
• Issue receipts, invoices, and refunds as per hotel policies.
• Balance the cash register and reconcile daily transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Assist in resolving billing issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and procedures.
• Provide information to guests regarding charges, bills, or promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashiering counter.
• Coordinate with the accounts department for reporting and audits.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role (preferably in hotels/restaurants).
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial transactions.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and billing software.
• Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality/accounts preferred.

Work Environment:

• Usually stationed at the front desk, restaurant, or outlet counters.
• Requires interaction with guests, front office, and accounts team.

Salary: 15000 to 16000
