Cash Assistant

Job Purpose:

To manage cash transactions efficiently and accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies. The Cash Assistant supports smooth store operations by handling billing, cash management, and providing excellent customer service at the checkout counters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Handling & Billing
• Operate POS systems for billing and ensure accurate transaction entries.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card, UPI, and gift voucher payments securely.
• Ensure float management and proper cash deposits at the end of shifts.
• Customer Service
• Provide a courteous and smooth checkout experience.
• Resolve billing-related queries promptly and escalate issues when required.
• Promote ongoing offers, loyalty programs, and company initiatives.
• Compliance & Reporting
• Adhere to company SOPs related to cash handling, refunds, and discounts.
• Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile sales with deposits.
• Assist in audits and ensure zero cash discrepancies.
• Store Support
• Support in packing, returns, and exchanges as per policy.
• Coordinate with sales associates and store teams for efficient operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline at billing counters.

• Accuracy in cash handling and attention to detail.
• Strong numerical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service orientation.
• Basic computer knowledge and POS system operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 12th pass / Graduate preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or cashier role (freshers can be considered).
• Prior experience in fashion/lifestyle retail will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹160,000.00 - ₹170,000.00 per year
