Carrier Management Team Logistics

As a Carrier Management Executive / Carrier Sales Representative within our team, you will play a crucial role in developing, managing, and nurturing relationships with trucking carriers. Your main responsibilities will include negotiating rates, ensuring transportation capacity, and collaborating closely with internal departments to fulfill customer shipping requirements efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and owner-operators. - Negotiate freight rates and secure reliable transportation capacity. - Monitor carrier performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements. - Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to meet client demands. - Manage carrier onboarding procedures, including setup, contracts, and insurance verification. - Track shipments and proactively resolve any service or delivery issues. - Maintain a comprehensive carrier database while ensuring updated contact, performance, and rate information. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred). - Previous experience in carrier sales, brokerage, or logistics operations (1-3 years preferred). - Proficient in negotiation, communication, and relationship management. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. - Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and MS Office. - Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
