Position Overview:
The Career Pathway Coordinator will lead and coordinate multi-session learning experiences for young individuals (ages 15–35), focusing on life skills, career readiness, mental well-being, and access to government schemes and services. The coordinator will create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that nurtures confidence, curiosity, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
● Facilitate sessions on digital and financial literacy, basic English communication, and mental health awareness etc.
● Conduct workshops on resume writing, job interview preparation, and mock interviews.
● Guide youth through SMART goal-setting exercises and personality development planning.
● Deliver orientation sessions on available skilling courses, vocational training, and government
schemes.
● Use participatory tools and experiential methods to ensure active engagement.
● Track participant progress and provide one-on-one mentoring when needed.
● Collaborate with local partners, trainers, and community leaders to enhance program delivery.
● Collect feedback and continuously improve session content and delivery style.
Preferred Skill Sets:
● Master’s degree in Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Work or a related field, with 5+ years
of experience preferably in Non-profit or Consulting space.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments
● Strong facilitation and communication skills in both English and local languages.
● Empathetic, youth-friendly, and culturally sensitive approach.
● Ability to simplify complex topics and make learning fun and relatable.
● Familiarity with national and state government schemes, digital tools, and career pathways.
● Prior experience in community engagement, education, or youth development is a plus.
● Strong orientation towards relationship building and problem-solving
● Proficiency in Google docs, Google Sheets, Canva and MS Office needed.
● Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills in English, Hindi and Marathi.
● Deep understanding of youth development challenges and opportunities in urban settings.
● Familiarity with government planning processes, policy cycles, and investment mechanisms.
● Proficiency in data analysis and MEL tools.
