Career Counselor

Job summary

The career counselor provides personalized guidance, advice, and support to individuals seeking assistance with career choices and development. They help clients identify their strengths, interests, and goals to create practical, long-term action plans for professional success.

Responsibilities

· Conduct assessments: Use a variety of tools, such as interviews, standardized tests, and aptitude assessments, to help clients identify their skills, interests, and values.

· Develop career plans: Work with clients to create clear, realistic, and actionable career and educational goals.

· Analyze market trends: Stay current on job market trends, industry developments, and educational requirements to provide accurate and relevant information to clients.

· Facilitate workshops: Develop and lead workshops or seminars on topics such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, and effective job search strategies.

· Maintain client records: Ensure all client interactions and progress are accurately and confidentially documented.

· Collaborate with partners: Initiate discussions with Universities in India to collaborate for getting students for their Distance Learning programs.

Requirements and qualifications

· Education: A bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, human resources, or a related field is preferred.

· Experience: Previous experience in career counseling, workforce development, or a related field is necessary.

· Empathy and interpersonal skills: The ability to listen and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds is critical.

· Communication skills: Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and coach clients.

· Analytical skills: Ability to interpret assessment results and analyze job market trends to provide sound guidance.

· Problem-solving: Ability to help clients identify and overcome obstacles in their career journey.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,776.30 - ₹25,029.23 per month
