The Car Repair and service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. The technician must have hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems. The Car Service and repair Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The role involves diagnosing issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all services meet company and manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty vehicle parts (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, etc.). Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations. Ensure all repair work meets manufacturer standards and workshop quality requirements. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed. Communicate effectively with the service advisor regarding repair estimates, timelines, and parts requirements. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and service techniques. Perform regular vehicle servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and tire rotations. Diagnose and repair vehicle faults related to mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Inspect vehicles thoroughly and identify potential maintenance or repair requirements. Ensure quality and accuracy in all service and repair tasks. Maintain proper documentation of services performed in job cards and reports. Communicate effectively with service advisors and supervisors about repair estimates and timelines. Follow all safety, cleanliness, and tool maintenance protocols in the workshop. Stay updated on latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and service techniques. Required Qualifications & Skills: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. 1–10 years of experience as a Car Repair Technician / Service Technician. (Freshers with relevant training may also apply.) Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and equipment. Attention to detail, good communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team and handle multiple service tasks efficiently. Preferred: Experience in multi-brand or authorized car service centers. Certification in vehicle diagnostics or specialized systems (ABS, AC, ECU, etc.).
