Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the canteen, ensuring smooth food service and cleanliness.
  • Manage and supervise canteen staff, including cooks, servers, and cleaners.
  • Plan and monitor daily menus in coordination with management and caterers.
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and quality standards as per company and FSSAI norms.
  • Handle vendor management purchasing raw materials, negotiating prices, and maintaining supplier relations.
  • Monitor and control inventory of groceries, vegetables, and kitchen supplies.
  • Prepare daily consumption and sales reports; ensure timely billing and cash handling.
  • Ensure canteen premises, kitchen, and dining area are clean and well-maintained.
  • Maintain records of staff attendance, stock usage, and waste management.
  • Coordinate with HR/Admin department for employee feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Implement cost-control measures to minimize wastage and reduce operational expenses.
