Camera Operator

Position Summary:
A News Cameraman is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage for news reports, live broadcasts, and special coverage. They work closely with reporters, producers, and the news desk to ensure timely and accurate visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate ENG (Electronic News Gathering) cameras for field reporting and studio recordings.
• Capture clear, accurate, and compelling footage of news events, interviews, and live situations.
• Work with reporters in the field to set up shots, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and travel on short notice.
• Set up and operate live broadcast equipment (liveU, SNG, OB van, etc.).
• Ensure proper framing, exposure, focus, and stable footage during fast-paced news coverage.
• Conduct on-site lighting and basic sound setup when required.
• Handle camera equipment, batteries, media cards, and ensure safe storage of footage.
• Coordinate with the newsroom for shot requirements and deadlines.
• Follow ethical and safety guidelines when covering sensitive or dangerous news events.

• Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating professional ENG or broadcast cameras.
• Strong understanding of framing, composition, and real-time visual storytelling.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-changing environments.
• Basic knowledge of lighting and audio for news interviews.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with reporters.

• Frequent travel to locations for reporting.
• Irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on news requirements.
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
• Physical stamina to carry equipment and work long hours on the field.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and react quickly to breaking news.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
