Role Objective:
We are looking for a Designer & CAM Programmer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in designing parts and generating CNC router programs, preferably for composite and aerospace components. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAM programming, and capable of interpreting 3D models and engineering drawings to create precise CNC programs for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:

Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, customer specifications, and models to develop accurate CAM programs for CNC routers

Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create, modify, and optimize part models and production drawings

Generate tool paths and CNC programs using 3D models for trimming, slotting, drilling, and contouring operations

Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for composite and aerospace materials

Simulate and validate CNC programs to ensure machining accuracy and process safety

Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications

Maintain revision control, drawing versions, and proper documentation of all CAM programs
-
Continuously optimize machining processes for cycle time reduction, material utilization, and dimensional accuracy

Support first article inspections, process validations, and CNC troubleshooting on the shop floor

Maintain a library of standard programs, templates, and best practices for CAM programming

Ensure strict adherence to aerospace quality and safety standards in design and machining
Education & Experience:
-
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or Product Design

5–8 years of relevant experience in CNC router programming and 3D design, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or high-precision composite industries

Proven expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and composite machining techniques

Familiarity with G-code, tool selection, clamping strategies, and CNC router operations

Experience working in ISO 9001 / AS9100 certified environments is preferred
Preferred Skills & Attributes:

Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Experience with 3-axis / 5-axis CNC routers

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering change notes

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

Team player with good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
