CAM Operator Job Description:

Role Overview

A CAM Operator in the diamond field is responsible for transforming 3D jewellery designs into machinable CAM data and producing high-quality models used for manufacturing diamond jewelry pieces.

Key Responsibilities

· Interpret 2D drawings and 3D jewelry design files received from CAD designers.

· Prepare and set up CAM machines to produce accurate jewelry prototypes.

· Identify and correct possible design or manufacturing errors before machining.

· Operate, monitor, and maintain CAM equipment to ensure efficient production.

· Conduct quality checks on the output to ensure precision and design fidelity.

· Maintain operation logs, noting machine settings, material usage, and production data.

· Collaborate with designers, craftsmen, and production teams to achieve required specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Hands-on experience (1–5 years) in jewelry CAM operation, particularly with wax or resin model production.

· Proficiency in CAM and CAD software such as Rhino, Matrix

· Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes and materials.

· Attention to detail and ability to ensure high standards of craftsmanship.

· Technical knowledge of computer-aided design and manufacturing principles.

· Educational background: typically a diploma or degree in jewelry design, mechanical engineering, or CAD/CAM technology.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
